Sales Development Representative (SDR) Brief:
We’re looking for a highly motivated and coachable Sales Development Representative (SDR) with a strong foundation in B2B software sales and a passion for the cannabis industry. This remote, full-time role is an entry-point sales position that plays a crucial part in our growth strategy. The SDR will be responsible for identifying and engaging qualified cannabis retail leads, generating new business opportunities, and booking meetings for the Director of Sales. This individual thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment and is eager to grow their sales career with direct mentorship and support. Responsibilities:
- Research and identify cannabis retail prospects (dispensaries, MSOs, and independent operators)
- Conduct outbound outreach via email, cold calls, and social media
- Engage and build relationships with owners, operators, and marketing leaders
- Qualify leads through discovery and needs assessment
- Schedule meetings and hand off qualified opportunities to the Director of Sales
- Maintain accurate CRM records in HubSpot
- Track activity, pipeline status, and weekly performance metrics
- Collaborate with sales leadership to refine outreach strategies
- Share market insights with sales, marketing, and product teams
- Accept feedback and coaching to improve messaging and approach
What You’ll Bring to the Team:
- 1+ years of experience in B2B sales (SDR or inside sales role preferred)
- Experience in or strong understanding of the cannabis industry (retail, SaaS, or vendor)
- Clear, persuasive verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and prospecting tools
- Exposure to AI and sales efficiency tools
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience strongly preferred
- Self-motivated, curious, and goal-oriented
- Strong organizational habits and follow-through
- Desire to grow within a sales organization and take initiative
Location: Remote
This is a remote position based in the United States. Preference will be given to candidates residing in one of the following states: MA, MI, WI, MN, SD.
